An education provision based in the Merton borough for pupils who are unable to attend mainstream school; are seeking to appoint an experienced Food Tech / Design & Technology teacher from January 2012.

The successful candidate will be an exceptional teacher who will be at the cutting edge of good practice and provide outstanding educational and holistic opportunities for children with Special Educational and Behavioural, Emotional and Social.

You will work sensitively to maximize learning opportunities for the pupils whilst ensuring that the provision does not adversely affect the work of the wider school. You should be an outstanding Maths practitioner with considerable experience of working with vulnerable pupils and families. You will need a secure knowledge of Special Educational Needs including strategies for changing behaviour. A commitment to both your own continuing CPD and that of others is essential.
